Libertarian, Ecological, Feminist
Books, zines and DVDs to borrow

Opening times

  • Wed, Thur and Fri 12pm – 4pm
  • Thur evenings 7pm – 9pm

Check our volunteer rota (LINK) to see who has signed up to open the library. If you want to help out, please email or come in and talk to us.

The Cowley Library is situated on the ground floor of the back building, accessible through the garden. We stock libertarian, ecological and feminist material, every item available to borrow for free.
We also have computers for public use and scanning/photocopying for 5p a sheet. A reading group meets on the second Thursday of the month at 6pm.

Below is our online catalogue – most of our books are listed, but not all the pamphlets and journals.

Reading Group

There is a reading group the second Thursday of every month at 6pm. So far we have discussed Bertrand Russell, Ursula K. Le Guin, and Sarah Hoagland – email to learn the topic for next month’s discussion!

Get Involved

We always need more volunteers – email to organise an induction.

We also welcome book donations – unfortunately not every donation will be added to our collection, but they will be either sold to raise funds for new books or given to Amnesty International charity shop.
